MEN’S FAITH STUDY
Meets on the 3rd Saturday every month from 9 to 10:30am — currently meeting on Zoom.

The men of MCPC, both members and friends, gather for lively discussion, sharing of concerns, and a time of prayer for the people and holy work of our congregation. Each 3rd Saturday of the month, between 8 and 15 men gather to support each other in fellowship.

We also keep involved in the life of the congregation as we pitch in to help with Pumpkin patch, fall raking, spring cleanup, and Habitat workdays. We consider it to be a worthwhile part of our men’s witness, in spite of the aching muscle and pains.

We always want more of you to come aboard! Nothing is better than to have a good discussion around faith and scripture as well as a time of mutual support. Join us!

We pray that those who gather deepen their faith and fellowship through their participation, that service to MCPC and the community expands, and that the group continues to grow.

WOMEN’S HORIZON’S BIBLE STUDY ~

NEW IN SEPTEMBER 2023! Presbyterian Women are excited to announce that MCPC will be holding the Horizon’s Bible Study! We will meet on the 4th Thursday of the month at 1:30 PM in the West Room. Join us!

“The 2023–2024 PW/Horizons Bible study by author Olive Mahabir invites readers to consider Jesus, “the good shepherd” (Luke 10:15), who shared the Good News through sacred encounters with everyday people. The Gospel According to Luke and the book of the Acts of the Apostles, or Luke-Acts “one story in two parts,” demonstrate the  unfolding of God’s redemptive purposes in human history and present a distinctive perspective on the person and work  of Jesus Christ. Written by Luke, a physician and traveling companion of Paul, the message to the early Christian  community (and to us) is radical, inclusive, and hope-filled.”

WORSHIP RELATED OPPORTUNITIES ~

Periodically the Worship Team offers opportunities to augment and enhance the worship life of MCPC. Some examples include our recent Advent Conversations exploring the history and meaning of the hymns and carols of Christmas, the Lenten Conversations on The Passion Play of Oberammergau, and an Advent Quiet Day for self-guided prayer and reflection.

OTHER PERIODIC BIBLE STUDIES ~

We also hold other Bible studies throughout the year, such as during Lent or as the Holy Spirit moves us to do so. Past studies have included “What We Believe: Understanding Our Creeds and Confessions”, Bible 101, and Jesus throughout the Bible.
