Faith in Community

We live our faith through opportunities to be in community and fellowship with our immediate families, our church family, and the larger community – acting in our faith and .  These opportunities offer a chance to reflect on the meaning of God’s community, and to live actively and faithfully, participating in God’s kingdom and enjoying the gift of growth in our own spiritual lives.  Opportunities include:

 

PRESBYTERIAN WOMEN PC(USA)

Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves

  • to nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study,
  • to support the mission of the church worldwide,
  • to work or justice and peace, and
  • to build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and witness to the promise of God’s kingdom.

Ongoing community activities include:

MCPC is at The Brunswick Farmer’s Market on Tuesdays, May through November.  We hang out, have a bake sale, and enjoy the fellowship of the community at the market.

Summer Movie Night – the outdoor courtyard becomes a movie theater for the  evening.

The Pumpkin Patch – every October the pumpkins arrive for a wonderful fall celebration and Pumpkin market.

Wednesday Night Crafters – gathering Wednesdays at 5:30 for a light meal, crafting (bring your own or share in something already underway), and fellowship.
