Bright Start is a non-sectarian, non-profit child care center which operates under the auspices of the Mid-Coast Presbyterian Church with a separate Board of Directors and budget. It has been located in the church since 2000.

Mid-Coast Presbyterian Church believes strongly in the role of Bright Start in the community, and are blessed to have them in our building. An important part of MCPC’s involvement in the community is sharing our building with Bright Start without charging rent, allowing them to more fully apply their resources directly to the children. The congregants at MCPC, both as a whole and individually, also support Bright Start through contributions of supplies, serving on the Board, volunteering at reading time, and helping out when other needs and opportunities arise.
