Prayers and Funding Request for Bright Start
Bright Start Childcare has been suspended due to COVID-19 since March 2020.  Last week Session approved the Bright Start Board’s request to reopen with all Maine CDC child-care precautions and protocols in place including required vaccine for staff and volunteers and universal masking indoors. Without income for 18 months, start up costs such as wood chips for the playground reclamation and helping to pay teachers will initially be challenging.

Session has approved a one-time fund-raiser, endorsed by PW and the Men’s Study Group, and an anonymous donor has agreed to match all contributions up to first $5,000. We hope you will prayerfully consider taking part in this exciting opportunity. Contributions can be made by writing a check to MCPC and on the lower left item line note: “Bright Start Fund-raiser” and deposit the check in the Sanctuary offering basket, or mail to MCPC (P.O. Box 211, Topsham, ME 04086) c/o MCPC Treasurer, or place in the West Room drop box by Sept 30th. If you have specific questions, please contact Dick Reese or Joanna Damon.
