Here’s What’s Going On – the latest from our weekly updates

PRAYERS: We resolve to pray daily for each other, our community, and our world at 10:10 AM or PM, 10:10 AM being the time we worship on the Lord’s Day. Join in whenever you can remember to do so.

prayers for our country as it is working through Covid vaccinations and toward “getting back together”.

prayers for all of us that, in God’s time, may we be safely back together with loved ones and our MCPC family.

prayers for those in our congregation, both those shared and those unspoken.

Mighty God, receive these prayers as sweet incense rising. (Psalm 141)

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY SPRING WALK TO BUILD: May 2 to June 30, 2021.

Habitat for Humanity/7 Rivers Maine is conducting its major fundraiser, the 2021 edition of The Spring Walk. MCPC has been a strong supporter of Habitat since 1991, and everyone is invited to be a participant in the 2021 Walk – as a walker, a fundraiser, a donor. The pandemic still precludes a big, one-day event, so the Walk will be held virtually again.

Ways to support the Spring Walk to Build! (Please remember to observe current Covid-19 guidelines.)

Walk! at home (treadmill, in your yard, etc.), around the neighborhood, at a park – whenever you’d like from now till June 30 – and then personally contribute to the Walk. OR…join up with a group of MCPC walkers (contact Paul Brown about this option).

Fundraise! as a walker or non-walker, get friends and relatives to support the Walk.

Donate! with credit or debit cards via the web or with a check via the US mail.

Details on participation will be sent in a separate e-mail to those who participated last year; or you can request that information from Paul, MCPC Habitat Representative. Paul can provide details on Habitat’s web process that must be used for making donations with a credit or debit card; checks can be mailed to Habitat for Humanity 7 Rivers Maine, 126 Main Street, Topsham, ME 04086 with “Mid-Coast Presbyterian Walk” entered in the memo.

YOUTUBE! MCPC is now on YouTube. At this point, we are using it to post Sunday Worship Services and Pastor Diane’s sermons (excerpted separately for your viewing.) To find MCPC on YouTube, go to http://www.YouTube.com and enter “Mid-Coast Presbyterian Church” in the search box. More info is available on our website, www.mcpconline.org. [7.22.2020]
