update: A BIG THANKS to the congregation for opening their hearts in support of the disaster relief effort for JZS Ncevu Memorial Church. Your prayers and financial gifts are a blessing to JZS Ncevu in their recovery from the storm damage to their church building; the financial gifts wired to JZS Ncuvu totaled $865. Stay tuned for feedback from Ncevu on how the resulting church repairs turn out!
A few Sundays ago, we lifted our brothers and sisters of JZS Ncevu Memorial Church in South Africa in prayer, not only for their struggles amid the coronavirus pandemic, but also for the effects of a devastating windstorm on their church. The MCPC folks in the MCPC-JZS Ncevu Pen Pal group learned of this disaster at the end of August.
Upon learning of the damage to the JZS Ncevu building, the MCPC Pen Pals felt called to send monetary support for the repair and rebuilding that is needed, so they joined together for a financial contribution to JZS Ncevu.
The MCPC Pen Pals would like to extend an invitation to the full congregation to contribute to this one-time disaster relief collection. The hope is to receive all contributions by Monday, September 28, so the donation can immediately be wired for arrival by World Communion Sunday, October 4.
Checks can be mailed to the church made out to MCPC with a memo note “Ncevu Relief” or you may go to the MCPC webpage and use the PayPal donation feature. Please continue to hold JZS Ncevu in your prayers.
