Rev. Diane Hoppe Hugo

Our Pastor, Diane Hoppe Hugo

Our  pastor is the Reverend Diane Hoppe Hugo.  Originally from California, she earned a Masters of Divinity degree from Yale Divinity School.  From there, she went on to serve congregations in New York City and New Jersey.  For many years, she was a summer visitor in the congregation — little did she know one day she’d be our pastor!

Currently the Vice President of the Brunswick Area Interfaith Council (Mid Coast Area Interfaith Council), she is also the Clergy Liaison for the Presbyterian Women of the Presbytery of Northern New England and is a member of the Presbytery’s Committee on Preparation for Ministry.

As the mother of an autistic teenager and an artistic tween,  Diane brings a unique perspective to our pulpit — she is also a former cocktail waitress and spent 8 years as a “stay-at-home mom” before she returned to parish ministry.

She resides in Brunswick along with her husband, Buckley J. Hugo and their children Tad and Maggie.  Mr. Hugo founded Midcoast Advocacy which serves special needs children and their families.  You may contact the pastor at pastor@mcpcmaine.net.  She is also on Facebook.
